There is something for everyone here in the lake region any time of the year. Winter in the Poconos offers some of the best downhill and cross-country skiing available. We are only 20 minutes from Ski Big Bear.
Most areas also offer runs for snowboarding and snowtubing, the newest ways to have fun on the slopes. Bring along your snowshoes and ice skates to add to the fun.
Spring marks the beginning of the of the fisherman's fantasy with the opening of trout in mid-April. The numerous streams, creeks, rivers, ponds and lakes in the area provide an abundance of opportunity; from the opening of trout through the winter ice fishing seasons.
There's also nothing quite like a late spring hike or bike ride when all nature is coming anew.
Summer is a world all its own. Watersports are a specialty; canoeing, white water rafting, jet skiing, sailing, swimming and fishing are all within reach. Rent a boat or bring your own. Visit a wild animal park, wildlife sanctuary or museum. Spend a day playing golf, horseback riding or hiking waterfall trails. End the day with an outdoor concert or watch the sun set over the lake.
